"Human beings are basically wired to want to give help. It’s one of the richest sources of self-esteem, and it has the potential to be a real win-win. Helping is rewarding for people because they like to be supportive and connect with other people."

Utah women volunteer far more hours than any other state in the Union. And these women are volunteering far more hours than the men in the State. We are givers.

An article in the Verge focuses on not only the importance of giving but the importance of asking for help, which can be difficult for many people.

Read the article to get all the tips but know that humans want to say "yes" more often than saying "no" when being asked for help. So learn to ask and it becomes a win-win.
