Oregon becomes first state to legalize magic mushrooms

Psychedelic mushrooms can help people suffering from anxiety to depression. And now, residents of Oregon, over the age of 21, who passes a screening to access the services for “personal development."

A husband-and-wife team of psychotherapists, Sheri and Thomas Eckerts, pushed the measure through and are eager to see its use in a clinical setting.

Multiple cities have decriminalized the substance, but Oregon will become the first to permit supervised use statewide.
