Cannabis Dispensary Report Cards – February 2021
Patients seeking legal medical cannabis in Utah must visit one of the eight dispensaries open in the state. How close a dispensary is to the patient, how friendly and knowledgeable each dispensary is, what products they offer, and what other conveniences they have arranged for these customers is inconsistent from one dispensary to another.
Patients often need to experiment with what works to relieve their pain. They need variety in product and modality to find relief.
The Utah Bee is producing report cards each month for each dispensary. The February report card is about the variety and modality offered in each dispensary.
Above you will find the overall report card. If you click on these links, it will take you to individual report cards that break down each dispensary’s particular grade: Beehive Farmacy, Curaleaf,Deseret Wellness, Dragonfly,Perfect Earth – Logan, Perfect Earth – Ogden, and Wholesome. Note: this month Deseret Wellness opened a new Park City location. No information was available for this new location, so they do not have a report card this month. In March, they will be graded along with every other dispensary.
To create these report cards, the Utah Bee counted how many products were available at each location. In addition, the variety offered in each modality was calculated. The higher the number, the higher the grade.
The Utah Bee understands that these dispensaries are restricted by the medical cannabis law of the state. But it is clear that some dispensaries are working harder to offer more varieties to their customers while others are not making this priority.
