A Wine Lovers Dream In SLC

Whether you are a beginner or connoisseur when it comes to wine, By The Glass (BTG), located in Downtown Salt Lake City, is a dream come true for wine lovers.

Located on 400 South and West Temple, right below Salt Lake’s famous Italian spot, Cafe Molise, you’ll find BTG Wine Bar.

It’s gorgeous on the inside and huge. With plenty of seating and a variety of table sizes, it’s perfect for a date night or a night out with a group of friends. The service is fast and reservations are only really needed on weekends.

BTG is a great place to try out a bunch of different wines if you are new to the vino scene and really trying to figure out what you like. One of the coolest features on their menu is the way they offer flights based on different countries of origin for the wine. You’ll be able to try lots of different types of wine and then easily be able to identify them next time you stop at the liquor store. The Spanish Red flight was perfection, it had a nice variety of tastes and sweetness levels.

For the wine experts who already know exactly what they like, BTG has an extensive wine list with a nice variety of types, ages and regions.

If wine isn’t your or your date’s favorite thing, BTG also offers some signature cocktails and beer. Their Summer Sangria is to die for, it’s fresh and fruity, and perfect for this heat wave.

You can also order dinner or some appetizers and dessert at BTG. The food menu comes from Cafe Molise, just upstairs. If you’re going for just drinks, I highly recommend ordering some of their Foccacia, it’s truly some of the best I have ever had. Also, why not try something sweet? The creme brulee is YUMMY.

As for a full dinner, you really can’t go wrong with anything on the Cafe Molise menu, but their lasagna is to die for.

BTG is a special place in Salt Lake City and will make your night out on the town feel like something out of a movie. The wine is perfect. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is a cherry on top.
