Halloween Cocktails For Your Spooky Party
Written by: MADELINE FERGUSON
It’s spooky season and with that comes all sorts of get-togethers and fun Halloween parties. We want you to be prepared with some fun cocktails, whether you are hosting, trick-or-treating or just bringing it along to share.
It can be daunting to bartend for an entire party for an entire night and often times you feel like you’ve missed out on the party when it’s all said and one, so for this one, we are using batch cocktail recipes so you can make it ahead of time and people can just pour it themselves leaving you with time to chat and enjoy the night.
For all of these cocktails, having a cute bowl or drink dispenser to serve out of will make your drink a showstopper, but not to worry if you can’t find one, the flavors will wow your guests on their own.
Halloween-Themed Batch Cocktails
Spiced Apple & Whiskey Cider
First up, let’s keep it simple with a classic cider (bonus points if you press your own apples). For this one all you need is a gallon of cider, a bottle of whiskey, cinnamon sticks and whole, dried cloves.
Make sure the cider is chilled before mixing all of the whiskey and cider together. Then add two cinnamon sticks and a small handful of cloves. Put the drink over ice (using a slightly bigger bowl) and let the spices steep for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Witches Brew Spritz
This one would be perfect for your neighborhood block party or a Halloween-style brunch, and it’s oh-so simple. This drink will come out bright green, so it will fit the spooky vibe perfectly.
All you need is your favorite Prosecco, soda water, limes and Midori. Midori is a melon liqueur and it’s BRIGHT green.
Start with a glass of ice, add one ounce of Midori, a squeeze of lime juice. Next, fill the glass mostly with prosecco leaving a little space at the top to fill with club soda. That’s it! This one is the adult version of fruity Halloween candy.
Dark & Stormy
If you make this drink for your Halloween party you pretty much have to dress up as a pirate. This cocktail is less sweet than the other two, but the flavor profile is so nice.
For this version of a Dark and Stormy, you'll need a bottle of dark rum, limes and ginger beer. Bonus points if you provide some fresh ginger for your guests to garnish their drinks with, the smell before the drink is lovely.
A traditional dark and story is served in a glass and the rum is floated on top of the ginger beer, giving it a split look. But since we are serving this batch-style, you’ll want to mix it first. Don’t worry, it will still taste amazing.
Mix your bottle of rum with equal parts ginger beer. Next, add about 2 cups of lime juice (fresh or bottled). Mix it up and serve over ice.
We hope you have a BOO-zy spooky season!
