Holiday Activity: Microdosing and Christmas Lights

Written by: MADELINE FERGUSON

Microdosing has become a buzzword in both the psychedelic space and the health and wellness space. The practice is also growing in popularity with more and more people trying it out.

Now, microdosing can take on a lot of meanings, but most commonly (and the meaning we will refer to in this article) is taking very small doses of psilocybin or magic mushrooms for physical and mental health benefits.

When you take a microdose, if done correctly, you won’t “trip”, but it can make you feel lighter and enhance your creativity and senses. You can learn more about microdosing for wellness here.

Now, to the point of this article. Sometimes it seems like the holiday season can get hijacked from us because of the endless shopping lists, family commitments and work parties, so to lighten things up and bring some magic back, you might try taking a microdose and looking at Christmas lights.

With the enhanced senses (aka brighter colors) and the ability for a microdose to ease your stress and make you feel more in the moment, this activity could be just what you (and your best friend or significant other) need to bring some joy back into Christmas.

Of course, we recommend having a sober buddy to tag along and handle any possible driving duties, but as long as you make the responsible choices ahead of time, sitting back and drinking some cocoa while you either walk or ride around some neighborhoods with great lights might just become one of your favorite holiday traditions.
