A stroke of good luck is one the best human experiences, right? But, do you know what makes luck feel so good? Dopamine.
Dopamine is the reward chemical in our brain and we experience the biggest surge in dopamine when we are surprised by something good. All this to say, we rounded up some of the best strains of cannabis to produce that happy-go-lucky, euphoric feeling of luck.
Most of these strains are slightly THC dominant but have a CBD balance to prevent that overly heady and for some people anxious feeling. THC is the compound in cannabis known for producing the “mind-high”, it can also provide a more energizing feeling for some people.CBD is known for the “body high” which can help with pain relief and relaxation.
It’s also important to know the difference between Indica and Sativa strains. Sativa is more energetic and uplifting whereas Indica is for relaxing and is a bit of a sedative. Many strains are a hybrid of the two, providing a nice balance.
First up, Blue Dream. A classic. You’ve probably heard of Blue Dream, it is the favorite of many cannabis users and has been around for a long time. This strain is Sativa dominant but helps relieve bodily issues like nausea and pain.

You may know it from a classic stoner comedy starring Seth Rogan and James Franco but Pineapple Express is also one of the more euphoric strains of cannabis. It is often described as uplifting and energetic. Beware though, it can be very potent. This is considered a Sativa strain.
Maybe a lesser-known strain than the first two listed is Apple Betty. Do you know the Bob Marley song that goes “don’t worry, about a thing”? Yeah, this strain pretty much embodies that. This strain leans a little more on the Indica side to keep you from getting too wrapped up in thoughts while still enjoying a psychedelic high. Apple Betty is a hybrid strain.
Girl Scout Cookies are some of the best cookies out there, and the same goes for the cannabis strain also called Girl Scout Cookies. You know that feeling you get when you’re lucky enough to score some thin mints outside the grocery store, this strain will give you that same blissful state.
Another sweet sweet food strain - Strawberry Cough. This strain is known as one of the most social strains of weed, providing a little lubrication to social situations and an overall uplifted mood.
